Ripple turns the environment into an art canvas. Our smart phones are the paintbrushes. As we move around the city, the sound, photos, and motion are the palette. To realize the idea, we also developed Art Map, an algorithm and visualization for Ripple. In ArtMap,  lines on the canvas are the trails each individual leave behind while moving around with their smart phones. The ripples on the ArtMap are created by the user generated data, such as pictures and sounds captured by citizens. This interactive mobile interaction symbolizes the way information distributes and impacts our surroundings.
